Hi All

I have been given a 9000lb Warn winch form a mate and i don't have a winch bar on my ute.
Is it possible to have a cradle made up and fitted behind the factory plastic bar?

I'm thinking someone did a write up on this about 12 months ago, not sure who it was but I'm sure I saw it somewhere. Maybe someone else remembers it too.
 
I remember it - for an alloy bar, which really is not a lot different except it has more room. The plastic guard may not fit the winch in behind it with the mount, fairlead etc.
 
It's possible to have a cradle made up (it'll also need a fairlead support), but it won't fit behind the plastic bumper, it will protrude out. You'd have to cut a big old hole in the plastic bumper.
 
Hmm that sux. I was hoping to have most of it hidden. Yeah I did a search and found the thread for the alloy bar. Looks like I'll have to find a bullbar for it now.
