difference between 2.5L and 3L diesel cv shafts?

sorry if this topic already exists but i had no luck finding anything.
i have a 2009 2.5cr d22 and i broke a cv. i live on the southside of brisbane and have looked around different shops such as australian cv joints and power steering, cbc bearings and also ontrack 4x4 and no body has a listing or any idea on replacement shafts for my car only the 3L ones. the people i have spoken to say they are different but no one is sure in which way.
can some one please point me in the rite direction for cheap replacement cv shafts or inform me on the differences between the two?

the first of the 2.5 cr engined D22's basically used the same driveline of the 3l engines. the later ones has lower diff ratio and could have different driveline parts.
