just finished putting in a 2" body lift in my 2000 model d22 navara 3.2 diesel.

surprisingly easy!

only mods needed to do when fitting was to remove 2 or 3 clips that retain the brake and airconditioner lines to the inside of the guard, 1 clip on the drivers side of the chassis where the wiring loom comes through the floor and to unbolt the tailshaft safety hoop under the rear of the cab.

2 spacers and some longer boltsnow retain this hoop.

2 spacers and longer bolts are also needed for the front bumper to go back on in the satisfactory position.
not done yet.
nothing else is needed to be modified when installing the lift.

total body lift kit cost me 50 dollars australian.

i bought 3 4 1/2" boat rollers from super cheap auto.
took them to my mates workshop and turned them on the lathe down to 50mm or 2".
went to the local bolt shop and bought 4 x 150mm bolt.
spun up 2 x 165mm bolts on the lathe for the rear of the cab as the bolt shop didnt have the 165mm bolts in a 1.25 thread.

I undid the 4 front bolts off the cab and loosened the rear 2 so they had about 20/30mm of play.
I then got a 2500kg trolley jack and a length of solid timber and jacked the cab up under the radiator support cross member. (remembering to unclip the 2 or 3 lines from the guard).
Slipped the new body mounts in to the front mounts and bolted in.
next i jacked up the rear of the cab on the double folded seam.(remembering to undo the bolts on the tailshaft hoop).
Slipped the rear and the middle mounts in and bolted down.
Removed the jack.
Put in the spacers on the tailshaft hoop and longer bolts went in.
Put the 2 spacers in the front bumper and longer bolts to suit.
screwed all the bumper back together.

cheap 2" bodylift complete.

next step is to make up 6 x 50mmspacers out of box section and lift up my tray.

hope this helps out some other diy'ers so easy.

Just a quick question?

In the 1st Photo, would it make any difference when the spacer is?

ie should it go:
1. chassis - factory rubber spacer - bodylift spacer - Body
or
2. chassis - bodylift spacer - factory rubber spacer - Body

Thought the spacers should always contact the chassis not the body?
