4.0 v6 fast idle

hi guys i have the same thing on my 4.0 v6 stx hot or cold on start up it revs its nuts off , when starting from cold it sounds like the engine is trying to throw its toys out of the cot, not a nice sound . anyone got any ideas cheers shane

I doubt Aussie Frontier checks the D22 threads.

Have you tested the coolent temp sensor ?

Mne has done the same since new and just about all VQ40's in Frontiers do the same. I know it sounds like its going to recover the floor under the truck but apparently its quite normal. Mine will sometimes sit on 1500 rmp then dribble back down
