hoping someone here will be able to help me work out and repair and issue I have with my Navara D21 1995 model 4WD Diesel.
Yesterday a squeak developed in the driver side front wheel, which becomes a loud groan and grinding sound when in reverse. The problem seems to have become worse in the past 24 hours.
I have just jacked him up, and there is a LOT of play in the wheel (more than 20mm). My first thought is bearing is shot and needs replacing before it is driven any further.
Two questions... first... am I correct in what I am thinking? If not, what else would cause that much play in the wheel? (Checked against play in the opposite side front wheel... none.
Secondly, I have found it virtually impossible to find a manual for this model diesel... does anyone have a manual that they would be prepared to scan the pages concerning bearing replacement for me?
