Hi Guys,

The old td27T has devolved a decent shake on idle that goes away with more rpm.

The idle seems to be setup fine.

I was wondering about having the injectors serviced / replaced... but before i did i wondered if there was any DIY injector servicing i could do.

I wondered if i could pull them out and clean them in petrol or something?
Apparently the nosle gaskets gunk up and should be cleaned :

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My TD27 had the exact same problem. When I sold the motor and Adrian off these forums fitted it to his car, he had the injectors serviced and said the fuel economy got worse. So it's a weird problem.

like 1k, it idles at what 800rpm. just needs a light tap and its smooth. did thing about putting the idle up, but seems like a bit high to idle it there. also the tacho is jumpy, so its only vaguely accurate.

Hmm not keen on getting worse fuel consumption. i think if u get new injectors u need to adjust fuel pump to new pressures, maybe he needs to tune it?
