Ive meaning to do this for a while but i have just never got around to it.

Im creating this thread to show of my EXTREMELY slow modification of my 89 Navara Dual Cab haha.

At this point i havent done much to her since i picked her up for $1500 of a mechanic who was moving away to the mines. He kept her in excellent condition since he owned it for 5 years and in that time he put a reco'd z24 in it as well as replaced the gearbox with an auto (which im not complaining about with my current broken wrist haha).

The day after i picked her up -

The Navara had the typical ugly brown interior that came with utes of that era

But armed with a weekend off and a couple cans of spray paint the interior now looks much better (and surprisingly the paint is still intact)

Then the Nav went mostly untouched for a while due to lack of time until last weekend I managed to get some wiring done.

First I put on my Narva driving lights which have been laying around the shed for about 6 months -

Then my uniden UH 012 UHF and GME Ariel (but I have misplaced the bolt which goes into the bottom of the springbase mount so I have to make a new one at work when i get the chance. In the meantime i just set it up with a little universal mount which a mate gave me.

Then I wired up my clarion head unit and my fusion speakers

And finally 2x 24W LED flood lights i picked up from the 2011 Bendigo leisurefest (ill post some pictures in the dark later. They are actually fairly bright)

The little Thermo 8 engel i snagged for christmas makes the perfect replacement for the dodgy centre console (and now i have cup holders that work =)

The plan was to bolt it down but i sat it in there to test for fit and it was a nice and snug so i have just left it . its been in there for a while now and it never moves but ill probably bolt it down eventually for safety reasons.
