Extra fuel filter for D40 king cab tray back

i also wanted to install extra fuel filter until I was told by many that the fuel pump will struggle...so replace the existing with a good one...eg glass bowl type

ah yuo may find out that the fuel pump doesnt struggle. there are heaps of guys on here with 2ndary fuel filters. i ahve one on my 2.5l d22. and there is a thread somewhere about the d40 guys. Stanadyne 100Series are ebing sold by Terrain Tamer with all the fitting gear. you will need to purchase the extra mounting bracket that has been psecially deisgned for the d40.

OH and the diesel experts i spoke to said that these filters are designed to be used with common rail motors and assured me that the pump would be fine.
If you need varifacation of this you can speek to Dean at "WEST END DIESEL" 02 97572100 These guys specialise in DIESEL INJECTION and are the distributors for DENKO ect
