just wondering if anyone knows of any tyre shops in newcastle that deal in federal tyres??

I don't know of any, but it's not a brand I've been looking at either.
On www.federaltyres.com I used the dealer locator and discovered that there are 3 within 100m of Newcastle:

Searching a bit for reviews on these tyres gives a mixed bag, the tyres would be a little noisier than other brands but if they're doing the rest of the job, there's always a stereo to turn up.
