I recently bought 4x 265/75 R16 tyres for my D22. Such a big difference from the 255/70's that were on it!

Anyway, now the question is, do I replace the spare with the same tyre size? I'm thinking the difference in diameter wouldn't be good for the diff should I have to run the spare over any significant distance.

Anyone has some experience with this?

I'm assuming 265/75 isn't going to fit on the standard steel spare either so I am going to have to invest in a new rim too.

Btw, I have already done a search and couldn't find any info.

Yup! Definitely get the same sized tyre for your spare. What you'll end up doing is trashing your LSD if you've gotta change out a rear, because the diff is going to CONSTANTLY trying to travel at 2 speeds. The easy fix would be to shuffle your wheels so that you put the different size tyre on the front, so you can counter act the size difference with your steering.
