Hi Guys,

Im currently dreaming about a trip from Melbourne to Jindabyne, via The Great diving range (No Bitumen!)

Im hoping to do this next summer sometime, after some more mdifications to my D40

Has anyone done a drive like this? And Know how long it would take roughly?

Cheers,

Matt

Yes I have, trip went something like this.
Walhalla-Licola (Burgoyne Gap Track)
Licola-Wonnagatta (Zeka Spur)
Wonnagatta-Dargo (Via Talbotville)
Dargo-Bright (Sarah Spur,Mt Selwyn, Twin Jeeps Track)
Bright-Omeo( No idea, but it was boring)
Omeo-Tom Groggin (via Mt Pinnabar)
Tom Groggin-Jindabye

10 day trip done in late May. Hope that helps.

G'day Maho

I did this trip last year but it was during the end of winter so many of the tracks were seasonally closed, but we wanted to camp in the snow, and experience the high country in the winter. This is the rough route we took (not including all the little tracks and short cuts).

Melbourne to Bairnsdale(via princess hwy)
Bairnsdale to Ensay (via Great alpine rd)
Ensay to Omeo (via Great alpine rd)
Omeo to Anglers Rest (via Great Alpine rd)
Anglers rest to Benambra (Via Benambra -Corryong rd)
Benambra to Native dog flat( Cobberas) via the Limestone rd.
Cobberas to Suggan Buggan (via Limestone road)
Suggan buggan to Jindabyne (via Barry Way)

4 day trip in mid august. cheers Andy
