hid lights for name brand spotties

bougt a 100w hid conversion kit, for my striker 170 light on ebay. when i tried to put them on . they did not fit so i sent back a scathing email to them as i always give people time to fix their mess ups. Their reply was that i had to buy adaptors for the lights. They gave me the item number i bought them and told them it cost me $32.00 and they should not sell something as advertised and not be complete.True to there word they refunded me the $32.00 i spent seller is kassabian 9898 he advertises for all sorts of lights my guess is they all need an adaptor.
