i have recently bought a D40 v6 4litre 4x4. the previous owner told me he had a heavy duty clutch installed and the clutch pedal is really firm, i have driven other cars with heavy duty cluches and they all feell lighter. was wondering if i have a slave cylinder problem or pressure plate problem. the clutch seems to work fine and doest slip with 265 75 16

cheers Reece

I have the 4x2 V6 manual and the stock clutch is as soft as.I have the same rubber and no dramas. Guys in the US with the same setup as ours have done the clutch change and no issues and no change to the pedal feel.
It might pay to get it checked out just to be safe.

I had a deavy duty clutch installed and the pedal is actualy a lot lighter. Could be somthing else. spring or slave cylinder.
