Hey guys, thought I'd chuck up my plans in this section too. I found some inspiration with scottybobcats rear bar but made a slightly easier one as I'm not the most talented metal worker. I needed to move the rear wheel from under the car as I'm going to put in an aux tank with pump, and I wanted it out of the tub. So far I've finished the bar area, all I need to do is the tyre holder and the rear panel protection. More pics up in the next few days when I should be able to finish it off.

Looks solid. Will your number plate mount to the side of the tow bar?
 
Headed camping this weekend so decided to chuck the unpainted carrier on. What do you think?

looks the goods.


what size tyre is mounted, is the nav wide enough to fit another on the opposite side?
 
Swivel bit is just bearing part from trailer hub, I got mine from ebay shop.

It's not too much heavier than standard tow bar and step. I could lift it myself to bolt it on.

hey pix great looking bar you have made there.

i am thinking about making one for my nav and was wondering if its possible to make it a duel wheel carrier? will 2 tyres fit? also what size rhs did you use?
