There seems to be a single high beam relay and from that a pair of 10A fuses (34 and 35) in the distribution box in the engine bay behind the battery. I'd check those - one's for the left headlight, one for the right.

D Dave Guest Jul 1, 2012 #6 There's like 3 fuse boxes in D40's. I know the tail light 1 is in the passenger side at the back of the engine bay. Doesn't even look like a fuse box.
