Hi everyone.

I have been around caravans for quite a few years (working in the industry) and currently have my own business conducting Gas Compliance certificates.

I have recently bought a new Coromal windup camper and a new D40.

I have not travelled far, North as far as Gympie and south to Sydney.

I am planning a 2 week trip to Cairns and back around christmas time.
I will be traveling with my wife and 2 kids, I will have family traveling with me with their kids. They will have a new Hilux and soft floor camper.

I know people in Mackay and Cairns.
My plan was to take the quickest route to Mackay, have an over nighter and then make my way to Carins. Stay in Cairns for a few nights then head home. Was thinking inland but dont know where to go. Where to get fuel?

Can anyone suggest a route to travel? What to see? Where to stay? What to look out for?
Both campers are set up fully self sufficient.

Regards,
Jason

quickest route is to go inland if driving through the day is up to gympie then across to biggenden gaydah and up to biloela and to rockhamton. This was my route when i was doing DIDO for the mines due to the road works on the bruce highway between maryborough and rockhamtop.
