Hi All,

One of my front speakers has gone and am looking at replacing front and rear speakers. Does anyone know what wattage speakers i should be looking for or know power of the amp in the head unit, i believe the front are 6"x9" and the front are 6" round.
Any info would be great.

I had mine out yesterday, they say they are 20watts for the 6x9"s. so I put 150 in each and sound ok. What you replace with wont matter on wattage, the head unit will distort way before the speakers will

Probably a fair dig!!

If you turn up a stereo loud enough so it's totaly distorting (cliping) you can destroy 100watt speakers with a 20W amp.

If anythhing, looking for car speakers look at the sensativity. Expressed in dB. The higher the dB the louder for a given input/wattage.

Most speakers are measured in dB of sound (loudness) for 1W input @ 1kilohertz @ 1 meter
