Hi guys
Ive got a vn v6 auto in an 86 Navara 4WD and I've just bought a VX v6 auto... has anybody changed the T700 to the new style 4L60E? Ive just found information that the output shaft from the T700 is custom to fit the Nissan transfer case, but can't find any more information on it??

Has anyone put a 4L60E into a 4WD?

Ive got a feeling that some where along the line they changed bell housing pattern just slightly, and a lot of parts between the two box's are interchangeable however im pretty sure the t700 has stronger internals standard then the 4l60e (i think the t700 had a stronger drum in it then the newer 4l60e's , however could have that confused between older boxs again)

Mate try and stay with a hydraulic T700 instead of a electrical one. You will have to change the main shaft so you have the Nissan splines at the back. The bonus of the hydraulic style box is you can drive it manually and be able to engine brake when going down steep hills
