Friday the 13th, not a day to get a lift kit installed......

Well I finally booked in for my 2" lift today, ended up going with the EFS Torsion Bars, EFS H/D Springs and the Rancho RS9000X Adjustable Shocks Front & Rear. Dropped off the ute this morning around 8.30am and was told not a big job around lunchtime should be right but we will call you. 3:30pm came around and nothing, so I called them up. They couldnt give me a timeframe for pickup as there was too many "variables" was told they would call me again. 4:45pm and nothing so figured they close at 5:00pm so I'll just go in there.

Ute was still up on the hoist with no front shocks in........an hour later was good to go, "oh but we havent had time to do a wheel alignment so you will need to get that done asap"

Got home started checking over it all as you do, noticed the rear leaf springs where basically flat like the originals that where in there, tried to look for a brand sticker or engraving etc. Found the model number on there so looked it up on the net, turns out they only installed the Medium Duty 150kg rated springs not the 300kg H/D's. Checking over the torsion bars noticed that one seems a lot lower than the other on the mounting/adjusting end of the bars. Measured from wheel arch/flare to ground 900mm drivers side then 915mm on passenger side........figured that ain't right either! Checked the 4 shocks, all set on different positions from 1-9. So guess what its going back to get it all fixed again!

I have had nothing but drama's taking my Nav anywhere and everywhere to get things done do it, I try to do as much as I can myself as I HATE others working on my car, you just dont know what they have done or what they havent done !!!

What measurements do everyone else's 2" lifted Navs have in the front?
Does anyone know the different settings/positions on the ranchos? 1-9 etc.

That sorta stuff is why i do everything on the nav myself. Or get mates to come around and i supply the beers.

Very familiar story, if its any consollation, you are not alone Matt! Sorry, havn't done a lift so can't help with measurements.

Just measured mine and it is 888mm (ground to wheel arch) both sides. Mine still has stock 265/70's though.

Need to measure perhaps top of hub to wheel arch to take the tyres out of the equation.

That sounds about right (except for the difference in your two measurements). I have not wound my bars up as much as I can yet, still have about 20mm between top bumpstop.

I feel for ya, iv been screwed many times over with my valiant charger trying to get the thing tuned right, iv walked out of a dyno shop once $1500 less and basically nothing done to the car, cos i put injection on it everybody says yes we can tune it but when it comes to doing it no one has a frikken clue.
Unless someone comes highly recommend to me and i can see the work they done to a mates car then il consider going there.

Hi Guy

I have just measured my nav and it is 870m from ground to the wheel arch on r/h side and 865mm on l/h side. I have NOT done a 2"in lift yet,all i have done is put new efs shockies on when i got it

Finally took the Nav back today to get rear springs swapped over for correct H/D rates ones. Ended up putting in Ridepro 400kg rated H/D springs and got the front torsion bars adjusted again and a wheel allignment. Now sits 895mm both sides front ground to bottom or wheel arch with roughly 20mm of gap to bump stop left. Only driven home about 15km's but very happy with the setup so far, rides much better, shocks only on meduim setting 5 at the moment havent had any time to play around with them. No air in bags yet either.

In the 4x4 mags they measure from the bottom of your RIM to the bottom of your guard in a straight up/down line.
I just installed a 2 inch suspension lift kit(IRONMAN) and the measurements are,750 mm both sides.

i'll be getting the Ironman 2" lift kit next week. I will try to get measurements before and after the lift kit goes in. Some of the measurements wont be precise due to the other extras going on at the same time. (winch + long range tank)

The most accurate way to measure the ride height is from the centre of the wheel to the guard. This way you will get a consistent measurement between vehicles regardless of rim size, shape or tyre pressures.

Measured mine from top of hub (plastic wheel cap) to wheel arch and got 466mm.

Have you got a lift on yours? Was that the front measurements?

After my 'veering left' issues one thing the service guy said is that they adjusted the ride height and my front drivers side is 430mm, front passenger is 420mm & rear is 450mm.. does that sound normal?
