Can anyone tell me if there was any difference between the n/a and turbo td27 heads ?
I'm looking at buying a terrano which has a cracked head and just wondering wether I'd need to get one of a turbo engine or not.

I'm no mechanic but I would assume the turbo head would run higher compression ratios than the na one...
 
Static compression on the turbo motor would be lower than the n/a but actual compression under boost would naturally be a lot higher.
The td27's have there combustion chamber in the piston with a flat head face.
So the piston determines the compression ratio, I believe the turbo engine had different oiling and some other small detail changes in the bottom end.
I was more wondering wether the heads maybe had some extra oiling improvements as well.
