Injectors service

hey does anyone know how often the injectors have to serviced. ive read on other forums that if your injectors are worn or playing up, by replacing or servicing them it can drive like a new car. any info on the subject would be appreciated. cheers

Injectors are non-serviceable items. Replace only. @ $250 each. Diesel mechanic told me they often run to 160k before replacement.

Dont know about the injectors but i had my glow plugs changed recently and what an amazing difference, i though cold start cranking was ok before but know its like it doesnt even crank and its on.

hey guys. so i took the nav into a diesel injection specialist yesterday, turns out its not the injectors making the noise. the valve clearance on the exhaust valves on cylinder 2 are about 3mm, they should be 0.3mm. so long story short the head had to come off and be sent away to an engine re conditioner. so im thinking the old girl is goin to cost me a bit this time. i just hope thats the only problem and nothing else is wrong as the mechanic in still going to pull the engine down a bit more to check the rest. anyway ill keep you's informed on what the verdict is.

Mine had has a hard life and done 190,000km no probs yet. Fingers crossed.

engine doesn't start

Dear all,

I have a problem with my Nissan D22. It doesn't start and i have to pull with other car to start. Even when t6he engine is hot doent start and i have to pull again. I check the compression pressure and are between 16-21 bar. The car manual that i have write 25-31 bar. If anyone know something please write me back.

Does the starter motor turn the engine over like it normally would go? It sounds like a diesel. Are the glow plugs working?

My Nav is fine but just wondering what the average life of the injectors is in km's.

My Nav is on about 178,000km's and running beautifully.

Usually it's a bargaining point when buying a vehicle with 200,000km+ on it.

Yeah I thought that to.

Will worry about it when it starts using more fuel and blowing smoke.
