My neighbour has just recently bout himself a GU single cab ute and yesterday the turbo blew about 3 hours out of Brisbane, and then the engine blew as well.
He is a 3rd yr apprentice and just bout the truck in the last 2 months, now he is up for an $11k rebuild which he cant afford.
He isnt on the forums so im putting this out there on his behalf - if anyone has a 4.2L TD engine that is running, or even just a 4.2L diesel to get him back on the road, please let me know.
Or any decent diesel/turbo diesel that is running, reliable and will fit a GU patrol...and reasonably priced of course ha ha.
We are in Brisbane but I can get it picked up from almost anywhere in the country through work.
