Caloffroad idler arm brace?

Idler arm brace.
Are they necessary? Has anybody fitted them to their machine?
Has anybody suffered complete disaster from a broken arm?

Going to order one and hopefully receive it by the weekend.
Who has fitted their own and what tips or tricks have you got to give me as a heads up?
Is an alignment required afterwards?
What other improvements can be made in terms of steering linkages that are worthwhile and would be recommended?

pretty straight forward from memory. Just undo a couple bolts n then do em back up. wont need an alignment.
