I've got the normal 4 hooks in the corners of the tub but wanted to change the two near the rear window to full circles or something similar so I am able to padlock things in as needed, anyone done this before, what with and how?

Im guessing unbolt the ones you have and either have them welded up to form a circle or go to your local bolt shop and see if they have anything like what your after.
Its a good idea though.

yeah that was what i was thinking but the only problem is then all you have to do is un screw the new ones and off they go with my stuff :p thought there might have been something designed for it

Tracking down these eye bolts seems harder than i thought, they done seem to make them with a short 6 mm thread :S

I found M6 lifting eyes at my local nut&bolt specialist. From memory they were about $5 each. I replaced the four factory hooks and put 4 more across the front edge of the tray in the factory threaded holes. Try calling specalist nut/bolt or lifting gear suppliers in your area as they shouldn't be hard to get if you go to the right place but you won't find them at the local hardware or auto store.

Cheers

Just put a nut on, cut the end off with a grinder or hacksaw and then take the nut back off to kind of 'rethread' the end of the u bolt.
