Gday,my name is Ian.I stumbled across this site last night, have enjoyed reading the threads.I'm also registered on the UK site, not sure how i found that one before this, but it's all good. Both great sites.Any how here is the rig,a company car so it costs me nothing, but at the same time i'm limited as to what i can do with it(add on wise).

Telephone box junction,Mt Stirling,27/7/08

I have been doing a bit of touring in it around the Vic high country over the xmas break,a few thing have struck me about this area,i frequent the area alot in the winter, but it is also fantastic in the warmer months.

The problem i am having, because i'm such a crap 4w driver is hitting the side steps on rocks and stuff. Also these things seem to pick up alot of sticks.I don't really need them, but i would like to raise the vehicle a couple of inches,i reckon i could get away with that. But it has to be done cheaply.

I have seen these things on ebay, say they can raise the vehicle but it seems cheap, must be a tradeoff somewhere along the line.

Any opinions on this would be great.
Also i'm thinking if i picked up some 17 inch rims with some good tyres second hand that i could put on when i go touring, that may also help the cause.

Any how back to the rig,it has nissan tarp, tub liner, wind deflectors on driver and passenger side windows, stone guard on the bonnet, floor mats, fog lamps, color coded door handles. The rest is standard.I also have a Garmin nuvi 760 gps in it with shonky maps and oztopo maps, and i just use a hand held uhf.

It's good to be here,
cheers,Ian.
