I used to have a Frans filter system on my VL Calais turbo way back in the late 80's ,it did a very good job kept the oil as clean as the day it was changed, worked on a toilet paper type element , the new ones are a lot simpler ,uses an adapter plate where the filter goes and the canister can be mounted any where in the engine bay,
Any one used these on their Navara's ?
