Hard shell roof top tents

Anyone run one of these as opposed to the usual big canvas ones around?

They are a bit more expensive but I like the look of them + less wind resistance/quick wind up struts design..

Any cons I'm missing?

Seems to be around the 2k mark..

i have heard that the lightest of rain can sound like hail on the roof.

We have a James Baroud. Expensive, fast, secure, stable on the car and when up not affected by extreme winds. Leave your bedding up there and made up. In a word, brilliant.
