There would be another but the only one I know is to disconnect the battery for a few hours.

I found some codes but I cant find how to reset the ECM. Search on Patrol4x4.com and see what you can find.

i don't have manaul for that year.

have you tried the D40 ecu reset procedure.

Timing is not as critical with this method...no stop watch needed. Just count in your head...one-one thousand, two-one thousand, etc, or use stop watch. The most critical step is step #3....wait 10 sec, instead of 7.

1. Ignition "ON", count to 3.
2. Depress/Release pedal 5 times...hard and fast.
3. Count to 10 (not 7!) and fully depress pedal
4. Count to 12 (SES should be blinking), release pedal
5. Count to 10, depress pedal
6. Count to 10, release pedal.
7. Turn off ignition, then start engine. Done!

Just curious as to which version is the correct one,
this one or the one posted by Old Tony in the other thread a day or so ago...

and if its been sucessful.

The one I posted worked in my D40. Different ECU, different hokey pokey I guess. No idea whether the procedure caused a fuel consumption reduction, we'll find out on Saturday, we're heading into the Blue Mountains for a day trip with a forest walk.

does this procedure work with the ZD30, and does the ZD30 need the ecu reset after a filter change

no, ZD30 doesn't measure fuel pressure. it doesn't store much in the way of data (i think only throttle) which is wiped when battery is removed long enough.
