D40 seat swap

hi im new to the forum and would like to ask some help.

i just bought a 2013 D40 ST (same as the earlier ST-X) and the front seats are doing my back in. i owned a 2008 D40 ST king cab which had the basic seats same as the current RX previously to this and the seats where great never had a back problem.
i bought some used RX seats from the wreckers and went to swap and noticed the ST seats have side air bag, disconnected the battery and did the swap to see if it mattered and turns out it does.
now the bloody air bag light wont stop flashing on the dash

just wondering if there is a way to override this?

if not im going to have to get my seat trimmer to swap the RX foam into the ST seats.

Yeah you need a mechainc to reset the lights..... As far as seats go if your going to spend the cash replacing the foam. Get some after market seats that have air bags fitted. Much better then stock seats. Non-air bag seats will make your car illegal and air bags not going off is going make the insurnce ask questiongs
