WTB d40 factory headlight/fog light switch stalk

Hi,

I`m after a D40 or R51 Combo stalk with fog light switch

cant find one here in NZ, and Nissan parts aren't being helpful as mine didn't have it optioned originally, and keep trying to sell me a over priced kit.

oh must be willing and able to post to New Zealand

As far as wreckers go, you could try this mob. I bought a long range tank of them, and there yard is full and I mean full of d40,s and pathfinders.

its been done,

but ALL the images are missing and the user is no longer active

involves opening up the stalk and adding wires to the circuit board and adding a switch,
simple really.

but since my nav is brand new im not keen to try.

sadly pics are missing. and the user on longer active.

the circuit exists on the stalks pcb, just needs wiring and a switch to complete.

i have have a similar switch, came with the new spotlight kit i bought for $5.50nzd!

i just want to use the factory wiring instead of the loom it came with,

would be real keen to see a DIY guide on how to use the factory wiring but aftermarket switch.

Factory loom is the way to go where possible.

yep lucky purchase, was a $1 reserve auction.

already have the lights fitted and connected to the factory loom, just need a way to make them turn on/off.

Ok so well thanks to the link earlier , a bottle of bundy red and now a hangover the result is this
Pull the stalk out pop the back cover

Solder a SMD diode across where it's marked D2

Attach some cable to pads marked a & b
Really alpha and beta symbol

Now just add switch of choice , if using an illuminated switch it must have a set of discrete contacts with no lamp across it so using the switch shown earlier which I use for driving lights you would need a relay

Anyone know what the fog circuit is rated at?

this the correct diode to use??

can make out in the pic... which way to solder the diode, or will it be obvious when i open up the stalk??
