going around an around-about in 2nd gear, gave it abit and as the rev rose to around 2.5k rpm ( or more, i wasnt watching ) all the power dropped for a second and then a puff of smoke behind the car.

its done this afew times and i think i can make it do it all the time.

anyone know what that is?

Sounds a bit weird mate.
Iam not a mechanic, but a mate was telling me today about a bloke with the D40 model done 4000kms from new and had to replace all 4 injectors,(warranty of course).
One of the symtoms was lots of white smoke out the exhaust when he was giving it a bit.
I hope its not injectors $$$$$
Could it be a blocked fuel filter? How long since last changed?
Ecu playing up, not sending right message to pump?
Like i say i am not a mechanic, But process of elimination maybe on the cards.

from the other thread........

get the error codes read. check for air leaks in fuel lines/filter.

If it was an older carby petrol engine, I'd say that its bogging down with too much fuel or not enough air when you floor the pedal. Vacuum loss could do this - slows down the reaction as you plant the foot

You might want to post this in the D22 section instead. Not too many D21s floating around with the ZD30, I suspect.
