Morning to you all. My 1st time on the forum.

My 2008 Nissan Navara D40 2.5D switched off while driving, It was the 3rd time now in a space of 2 months it does this. When you take your foot of the accelerator it will just cut off. But will start immediately when you turn the ignition.

Any advice as to what could be the cause of this will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

couple of us on the site have similar faults , couple have been suction control valves . Try a good dose of diesel injector cleaner double dose it and see if that helps.

If you're losing all electrical power I'd suggest a bad earth or poor battery condition - more likely an earth. Check both battery terminals, and the D40's ECU ground which has been a problem in the past - over on the right hand guard.

Last week I took out the throttle and gave it a good clean since then I've had zero switch-offs. I want to give it a month to see what happens, if nothing then I can be sure the throttle was the culprit.

Thank you very much for your help guys.
