Yep, right hand thread, anti clockwise to undo the filter housing. When you put it back on, don't do it up tight like it was, the rubber o ring is that tight in the housing there is no need to crank it down, I just wind the housing in till it bottoms out on the thread, and then just give it a little nip and it's never leaked.
