One of mine did it while under warrenty so it was replaced no questions asked.

There will be a seal leak, crack somewhere permitting moisture inside.

I got water in mine from a deep water crossing up at cape york. Not planning on replacing it, will probably just pull the plug out the back and give it a chance to dry it out properly. Chances are it leaked through the plug anyway so a new light will probably do the same and also cost a fortune to replace.
