Just wondering If anyone knows of really good day trips around the Newy / Maitland area that is not Stockton / Barrington or Watagans. Would love to explore an area that has good driving (offroad but not too extreme), bit of history and less of a crowd. I know of Chicester (sp??) state forest near Dungog, but have not been up that way yet.
Any info anyone can give is greatly appreciated.
