Anyone done one ?
I am thinking of using a Nissan Micra electric fan or another air con fan.

wouldn't bother, the engines fan helps a fair bit. trouble is the fan can also block air flow and it needs cowling to make it effective.

Its behind the Bullbar, your right though the engine fan would draw air in.
I might get some of that foam like what is around the radiator.
Still wanna try and see what difference it makes though.
Ill just buy a D22 air con fan, if it makes no difference I have a spare fan.

air con fan is fairly small, i thought the intercooler was bigger ??
plenty of aftermarket fans which may be easier to fit. the other thing is what do you use to control it.

Ill have to look into that, the other option was a radiator fan off a small car.
I have never heard of a aftermarket fan doing as good a job as a factory fan.

most aftermarket i have seen are slimmer than most factory hence will be lower flow.

Yeah I noticed that today when I went and had a look.
Gotta go pick up a heap of electrical gear for my brother place tomorrow, so Ill check a few wrecking yards after that.

You might find a misting system would provide more benefit, Dave. Moisture on a surface will cause the surface to cool as it evaporates and provides a greater heat exchange rate.

Yeah thats crossed my mind to. But I was thinking the fan as I can leave it on and not run out.
