Turnin the boost up??

Why would you do this? If you plug a Scangauge II in and monitor the MAP you will note that this climbs up over 34psi if you tromp your foot......and that @ sea level is around 19psi of boost......reckon that's enough for me.

If you turn up the boost be careful as a D40's turbo is maxed out at 24psi.
They run 19-21psi factory so there's not much room for movement but if your running a chip as well then a couple of psi can make quite a difference.
If you run a standard boost controller you have to block off the vent hole as the diesel turbo works differently to a petrol turbo or use a Dawes valve or a electric controller.

Last time I drove a D40 I couldn't wait to hand it back.
They fly, I need my licence and if I had a D40, I would have no licence.
Been in a V6 R51 Pathfinder and they haulass to.
Maybe you should of bought the petrol.
How much power do you need ?
