Door handle on D40

Passanger door handle doesn't open from outside anymore, opens from inside and locks from inside, but outdoor feels loose when you try to open it. Took door skin off to have a look, but, looks like works with cable not rods like older cars. Has anyone had this problem or do I have to take it back to Nissan where it will cost $$$$$ millions to get fixed.

The handle is held in with a single screw I think from the back edge of the door. Possibly the cable has popped off

Since it's an 07 I assume it's out of warranty so I'd be looking at do it myself even if you ring a few wreckers, it shouldn't be a hard job. To rest your own mind at ease before you tackle it you can compare the right door to the left door and see how easy it looks.

ther is a little screw on the side of the door i will give that a go
yes it is out of warranty

the only good thing about it was the door was full of dry mud so i gave it a good clean out
