Hello:

I made a terrible mistake, I disconnect the quantity control valve socket from the injection pump while engine was running.

Now the "Check engine light is always on" it still "on" even I disconnect the batery from some minutes but the worst is the loos of power, I can't go more than 60 Km/Hr (about 25 mills/hour).

Of course I want to take my Nissan to the service but I'am afraid technicians lie to me of course they will say that is a "computer failure" or something very expensive, but I think is only an error code question.

Is it possible that the Navara is blocked for security reasons in order Itake it to the service?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum!

You may just have air in the system. Put it back together, bleed it out then reset the ECU. You may be able to get rid of that air by pumping the primer bulb a few times. Then:

1) Write down the trip meter if you use that for recording economy.
2) Have your radio PIN number handy
3) Disconnect the battery NEGATIVE (black) lead
4) Press your foot on the brake pedal for 5 seconds
5) Put the lead back on the battery and see how the light goes.

Good luck with it.
