You can buy plastic flares off ebay that stick on your guard

good call cant break them.
Yeah Clarke rubber have them in a variety of widths.
Its not cheap stuff tho. Just make sure you get the flare with the wire in it as the wire keeps it round. without the wire it eventually goes like a 50c coin.
