Depends on the drawer runners, most of the decent ones can be tightened so they require pressure to push in, or the ones I usually choose for large jobs actually have a stop at full extension so that they actually require a push to get them started then they run fairly seemlessly.

I get my heavy duty runners from a cabinet maker, no idea what brand or what price to expect since I get them trade price but they can hold more weight than most fridges and they can be attached to any material.
