I have a 09 d40 Nav. It goes into 'limp' mode whenever I get above 3500 RPM. The guy's at nissan diagnosed it as shavings (metal/dust) coming off the flywheel and basically clogging up the crank sensor down amongst that. Its an aftermarket clutch item so no warranty is offered from nissan. I cant get ahold of the bloke who put it in so was wondering of any Mac Giver idea's or what anyone has done in the same situation if anyone has been in the same one.

Cheers,
Blue

Well, pulling the sensor out and cleaning it would be my first suggestion.

It is magnetic so it will latch onto any metal fillings etc... Which there shouldnt really be any of in that area as the clutch will be either an organic or ceramic type.

What else is done to the vehicle? Exhaust? Chip? Intercooler? etc..

mine has been doing limp regularly for a few years .nissan have know idea and will say anything .been to dealer to many times to count and the latest is a fuel pressure sensor, ordered in feb and still waitng .before that it was egt sensor then dpf sensor .
