G'day

Just some piccies of my single cab 2010 model bought 2011. Has factory steel bar, snorkel, towbar and some brush bars and side rails made by a local engineering mob. Also has a heavy duty steel tray with wooden floor made by the same place. Have also put on some lightforce 240XGT's on the front, and two work lights mounted on top of the tray. Also installed an Icom 400Pro in the car, with more radio's to follow.

The UHF i installed temporarily with zip ties to the plastic cover in front of the gearstick for a trip to sydney i did. I then changed it and it fits perfectly on the side of the cover, with the screw for the cover holding it on.

Nice 22.

How long is the mod list ?

At the moment not very, and not overly likely to change. Got the front and side protection, got the tray for rear protection, looking into getting underbody guards, but waiting to see what scotty comes up with. Got another 2 radio's to put into the car then she is all done, maybe some reversing spots as well, but the standard reverse lights are amazingly bright. Everything else will only ever be change on an as needed basis, the tyres are pretty good considering they are what come standard, im fine with ugly wheels etc. so all good for now.

G'day again fella's

Have done some more to the ute. Got another radio in, 27mhz. It is mounted on the drivers side of the center console at the base, the opposite side to my Icom, the pictures tell the story. Ran the antenna cable in the grommet on passenger side, took all of 5 minutes to do the antenna.

Have also got an insect screen to protect the radiator. It is something not always overly thought of, but can save alot of money. Made of mesh, held together in the middle with bloody strong velcro to avoid grill mounts. Has made no difference to temperatures.

Hey guys, could any one let me know if i left any thing out or forgot to do something else, i'am knew to this forum and it seems very knoldgeable.I have a nissan frontier zd30 diesel turbo[model just before the navara] and it's doing 80,000 ks, my problem is the cold start in the mornings.....The electronic pump was rebuilt and calibrated, the engine is full of power and no smoking, starts very easy when it starts..... Primer pump was changed.....Glow plugs checked out...... Heater works..... When the hard start pops up in the mornings and MAYBE during the day i go direct to the primer pump and it is soft so after a couple of primes the engine starts....I'am lost, what else is there to do....?????

Straydog.....Trinidad and Tobago....

Just thought of some other stuff I've done. Have added a couple worklights to the top of the tray, Turbo Timer on the inside, mounted up my toolbox in the rear, and got another radio on the way in. Will put pics up soonish

G'day again.

Some piccies. First on is the turbo timer main body. The big silver thing beside it is a uhf radio. Mounted up underneath the steering column, unable to be seen without looking for it.

This is the display and controller of the turbo timer. Will hard mount it oneday, just loose at the moment.

Next up is a couple of worklights. $40 bucks each and do the job perfectly, wired up myself. There is one on each side.

Last up, bought a set of alloys off ljacko on here, in great condition. Got rid of the BFG's and put on some Maxxis 771's last weekend. 265/70/r16. Very happy with the wheels, as well as the Maxxis tyres.

Not new, but have some good think rubber floor mats too, catch plenty of dirt and water:

And also put some good canvas seat covers on a while ago. A set of black ducks. Good stuff, strong, but shit in our climate. Get in during the day and makes ya back sweat like crazy, and zero comfort from them. Thnkfully neither of those points worry me so all good!

Installed my ironman bashplates today, prick of a job to get the front one to fit with the genuine nissan bar, but job done and pretty happy with it, pics when it's dry enough to get under the car again.

Getting there, got a coupe little things like run a power outlet to tray etc. Just small fiddly stuff that doesn't take long to do.

The ironman front bashplate was a bit of a prick to fit, but happy with the end result.

Thanks mate, I'm pretty happy with it.

Dave, they are bloody excellent floor mats. Can't believe how much dirt etc they catch, have even had them full of water before and it just held the water in the lip, best money i've spent on the ute!

Yeah its surprising the amount of rocks, dirt you bring into the ute.

I empty the driver's side mat/tray every week.
