D22 outback recovery point bolts

Hey guys i got my outback recovery points today and i just need to no the size of the bolts to use. anyone no? i no they have to be high tensile and that just need the size.

Do a search, there are a dozen other threads covering this topic. M12x1.25 from memory, but do a search to be sure.

The 1.25 is the guage of the thread. Bolts of the same size, can come with different guage threads.
I'm sure others will expalin it better than I have.

I used 40mm and that did the trick.

ok then will i need any washers spring washers? or just the bolts?

I didnt use spring washers just flat, but I'm sure it wouldnt hurt. I used locktite. Its also worth noting that some people have had to tap the captive nuts. I found that M12X1.25 was a perfect fit.

Just use one flat washer and one spring washer on each bolt. Get zinc coated bolts/washer too.
