Hey All,

Heading up to Mt Matlock tonight for some weekend snow 4wdriving.

Anyone been up to the area recently?

Cheers

Went about three weeks ago,bit of snow around, probably more now.
Maybe heading up there next weekend.Throw some pics up of the trip.

Fantastic W.E!!!

It was a memorial w.e for a mates dad. There were a few bikes and 4 4wds. 2 Patrols an 2 mighty D22's.

First experience driving through snow. Had the best time ever, even if we got stuck going down the other side of mt selma for 3 hrs. Plenty of snow up high. Mt Selma, we were knee deep in it. The weather heading up friday night was pretty bad. But Saturday was beautiful and sunny. Today(Sunday) was windy and cold an rainy. We stayed at a mates place on the top of Mt Matlock.

Not too sure on the track names but we did tinger spur and noble spur track on saturday night before an after the pub which was fun. a couple of little river crossings on the noble spur track which was fun.

Today(sunday) we packed up early and hit some tracks on our way back to Noojee.
Went up frenchmans spur. Hit some more snow and then some mud an a big river crossing at the end. Headed to Noojee to inflate our tyres an then headed for home.

Fantastic w.e all round, all the cars came home in one piece with no dramas.
Heading back up soon.
Now to save for a winch, lights and a compressor.

Check out the photos on photobucket.

Sorry mate dont know where that river crossing was, ill try find out from my mate.

The other pic:
We were heading down mt selma, but as we went down the track there was lots an lots of fallen trees. even with a chainsaw we would still be cutting our way thru. We couldnt reverse with no traction,so we dug under the snow to get grip an lucky our mate winched us up a bit to turn around. stuck for 3 and a half hours. thank god for the engel full of beers
