I have had a problem the last couple of times ive used 4wd. The last one i was on the sand in 4 hi then when i went to change it back to 2 hi a chime goes off like a reverse sensor that is right up against somthing not beeping just a continuous beep and the 4wd light is on and the symbol that shows when your in 4 or 2 dissapears. To get rid of it i have to stop the car,park it and turn it off then start it and all is good. It is an auto diesel 07. Anyone else had this happen or know why it is doing it??

Never had an alarm before. The dash light will flash if you don't select/unselect from 4Lo the correct way.
Once it would not go back to 2Hi from 4Hi (despite having turned the switch) - I just turned the car off and restarted it and that reset it.
