My 2012 D40 has its ESC (Electronic Stability Control) fault light showing yet no fault codes are displayed when an OBD device is plugged in....Nissan want $90 - $110 just to check. Anyone had this issue?
Paul.

Possibly a faulty ABS sensor.

As Rumpig has mentioned, most likely abs sensors.
I've had the light come on twice - both times after going thru super wet boggy sand. I've found that the rears seem to be the culprits..
With a light tapping they seem to come good again.

Fronts are the grey plastic clip on the front strut tower
Rears come out of the drum if memory serves me correctly.

Possibly unclip what you can and use an electrical contact cleaner, shake and reclip together. Otherwise it could be a broken wire ( these wires are very thin and quite fragile)
