Hi, just wondering if anyone knows about the "Accelerator Position Sensor Idle Position Learning on the zd's?

Working on this code oem 0301 ecutalk 31, it tells me in the manual under the trouble diagnosis section to replace ecm or apply above test/set???

Anyone know about this procedure?

Thanks

by memory for idle learning is you leave it idle for 10 minutes.

Ahhh that's what i was dreading lol she no start! So it's a new ecm if i dont find anything with the oem 0701 code "31 ecutalk i think? " .. i have noooooo idea of chasing shorts and faults but the manual makes it a lot easier...
I'm sure im avoiding the inevitable... danmit!

Are ecm's known for shiting themselves like this?, hate to think if i was on the road doing 90 and it happened...

the ecu is generally reliable. tho it can be tripped up by other things.
the ecu in the pump is known to just die and thats across different makes of utes as well.

Oh ok, thanks tweak. I'll start a code diagnose thread for the 0301 and 0701 codes, re. pump replacement, Injectors, timing chain and oil pump...
