Hey Guys,

Got the bus serviced today.

Couple of notes they said:

Both lower ball joints have movement
Is this something I can fix myself or do you need to have a bit of knowledge about cars?

Rear diff pinion seal is leaking
Again, can this be repaired easily at home or not?

Any advise would be great, I'm wanting to get to know the car a bit so I can fix things if I ever need too.

Who gave you this recommendation, mechanic or nissan dealer?

This may be of interest if you need to replace the ball joints:

With the pinion seal, replacing it requires correct torque and allignment/adjustment, otherwise you can have axle/drive shaft issues. But otherwise I believe it is a straightforward job.
If you are after mechanical and DIY car repair experience, just ask if you can do it with the mechanic, you learn a heap and get the privilege of using a hoist, tonnes easier than doing it on jackstands.

Personally I never play with suspension or driveline stuff myself, as if done wrong it can be costly.

Do you use one of the mechanics in jindabyne or elsewhere?
Because it's suspension, jindy Tyrepower might be able to give you a good price on fixing those balljoints, they installed our lift kit for us and it has been great.
