Hey guys,
I'm talking about the L shaped piece of steel on the cab that the cab side rubber sits on. eg when the door closes, the rubber seal for the door will mate against the rubber seal of the cab.
I've got some rust on this section, and because it's a thin strip it's copping it pretty good. I don't believe patching is an option, but I'm sure I heard you can buy strips of this L shaped metal somewhere.
Does anybody here know for sure? Was hoping to chop the old stuff off entirely. Grind back, treat, and weld on some fresh channel.
Haven't asked a panel beater yet, my old man was going to do the welding for me if I can find the material. Short of getting a local engineering shop to bend some up for me.
